Just like the title intends, i have had this idea on my mind floating around for a while about round up everyone on the forum and see who wants to make a game.
We would use everyone's talents story writers, graphic artists, mappers, and scriptwriters to make a game to show case the collective talent of the forum.
Who's in, who's got questions, and who has ideas?

nuka_bubble : GMT -5 : 18:00 - 22:00 weekdays, anytime weekends.
mr_wiggles : GMT - 6 hours : 15:00 - 21:00 weekdays, anytime weekends.
cardboard square : GMT - 8 : 18:00 and 23:00 : Tue,Wed,Thur
game face : GMT - 2 : anytime

Good idea. THe one with M kinda fell out of production.
First things first. Who will compile/have main copy?
I suggest wiggles or G@meface because of having understanding of script so can impliment major gamplay changes quickly.

, but what kind of RM is this gonna be made? i only know xp style 
, for different custom graphic might need some time to learn
if the game made in modern time perhaps can use my custom department store xp style tileset (im trying to make costum tileset, still at its early stage though)

ooh ooh ... can we make an "abuse"-type?
that platform was way ahead of it's time
if you haven't heard of 'Abuse' the PC game
Even the G.A.S. Engine project I made using RMXP, Terg ABS, a few scripts and custom edits... is similar but incomplete, it doesn't have that projectile collision
you can however mouse click on events and make them run commands.

@swoop: I never knew Master Blaster, I like the concept.
A shooting game could be a great idea, I have good memories with Silk Worm, an Amiga game where we can choose 2 types of vehicles (jeep or helicopter).

I think for game type maybe more like hardcore RPG or action RPG. but leaning a bit more towards action RPG for the excitement of play.
Im not too sure about the platformer. They can be fun to play but people these days like to have action and stuff (peoples minds are prone to jumping thoughts these days) and platformers sometimes lack depth of some super detailed gameplay style
