Yea dvd dycripters are nice cause they allow you to have a laptop and not have to carry all those things around when you wanna watch a movie.

the anoying thing is trying to find a good Kbit setting without the fuzzy squares in the detailed places and trying not to put a GB of a movie onto your Ipod. 1000 still has some fuzzy squares for stuff like writing and small details

yea what it does is rip the data from the DVD and store it like a Mp4 (mpeg) sorta like a music cd and mp3.
