As we were driving to Chicago, I stared our the window, half-aware of my surroundings. It occurred to me...
-Energy cannot be created. It is merely transfered from a source, to an object, then unto another object. In our case, the ultimate source is the Sun. Even if you were to eat a diet of strictly meat....that meat had to have gotten energy from a plant somewhere down the road.
-That means that we, as humans, get our energy from the Sun as well in one way or another. Everything we do comes from the Sun, and everything we ever will do will eventually end up there again (Give or take a few hundred million years for a super nova to occur)
-That in mind, it dawned on me that things we say (and sing!) all stem from that same energy source.
-Does that mean that music is relative? That....music isn't CREATED? Perhaps it's always been there, and artists are only piecing it together, from nature, from the energy cycle.
-This puts a new perspective on artists. Maybe they aren't creators, just...interpreters...Interpreting what nature says to them.
-As a side note, this also means that things like hate, and love, are also relative....So, why is it so much easier to interpret hate, and "good" is an uphill climb, while "bad" is like gravity working with you, while you leap of of a bridge...
In conclusion....Music is relative, it isn't created, the same way energy isn't created. It's just formed by use of energy we already have. Feelings are relative, and can (or can't) be changed depending on your situation, and the amount of energy you put into them. I need to think about this more, I realize the "idea" is sketchy at best...it's hard to describe.
Maybe I'm just crazy....probably crazy. But, thought I'd throw this up here anyway as kind of a....public diary.

very interesting, in science today we were discussing how since every time energy is moved somewhere, there is wasted energy that eventually the universe would run out of energy...

In the food cycle, it goes from plant to predator. So you're right that we do get our energy from plants, etc.
With singing and writing itself, I would believe that too would be true as with the poetry, like haiku's and Robert Frost's literary works to do with nature. With feelings, it can vary between the mood you're in for writing a song/poem. You don't just say one day "I'm gonna write a song today!" It doesn't work out the best as it would compared to a different time of when you're in a better/worse mood to where simile's and metaphors come to your mind and you write out your feelings use those. Trust me, I write songs. xD The stuff doesn't come to you when you want it to.
