Does anyone still play this stuff? I've been playing SC:BW and WC3 recently for a few reasons:
1. My internet is used up! NOOOOO!!! no LoL action for a few days
2. They're fun. And you get epic rush when you're trying to micro
3. I have a/some? Korean friends. lol... I'm trying to get good enough to beat them/him
4. It's fun checking your APM
So....does anyone play them? And what's your APM (Wings of Liberty counted aswell).

Even in it's low res graphics SC+BW will always be one of my all time favorite RTS's! No need for an account to LAN, campaigns for all the races, with the expansion it is truly a timeless classic. Maybe someday it will get a graphic makeover and a remastered soundtrack (wishful thinking) I love to play Protoss... I have this build where I go from photon cannons to carriers, no zealots or dragoons ^,^
I'm not sure what my APM is (actions per minute) but I use hot keys for building, checking bases, and assigning groups so I can get busy.

@Gameface; yeah I play protoss as well. if you cannon into carrier wont you lose expansion opportunities and early pushes? haha sounds fun to play though. gotta snipe the ghosts when vs terran.

I don't play SC-BW there's a while but I agree it's a wonderfull game with - in my opnion - a very good story.
My APM must be really slow now since I'm not playing it... but I guess I can still make some dragons and attack an AI...

oh and not to mention WarCraftIII+Frozen Throne ~ the beast master campaign was such a great story as well.
@swoop - I recall that project years back, I was unable to get it to work :~/ and thought it was a hoax :~P
@blue - place cannons in key locations, keep making drones to mine and use 1 or 2 to scout enemy base and to build more bases to be guarded by more photon cannons, then start building your structures for the carriers, spam cannons to guard bases build fleets, charge up carriers, defend attack waves with your carriers above the photon cannons, then attack after enemy attack wave... ^,^

nice I'l try it out some time. It'd cost a lot to rebuild cannons every time, especially if you're vs terran tanks that out range them. Or like, sneaky nuke.
oh...my highest average APM in a 20 minute match is 83.. peaking at 121. lol APM spam. I got it to 177 once when I kept pressing 1,2,1,2,1,2,f1,f2 etc.
For WC3, avg. APM is around 60-70. But there's not much to do in WC3. Building and massing periods are so loooonnngggggggggggggg............

I used to play BW a while back. Sucked at it, and only was great at team matches. Watching SC2 makes me feel like I'll be forever a bronze haha.
I have the discs and stuff right here so if you want to play let me know.
Maybe not on GF, but many people still play SC1 and WC3, mostly because they're pretty original, great and you can play the original DotA on it.

I have played mainly Warcraft 3 and a bit of Starcraft BW and WOL, I know that blue plays as Protos in Starcraft but plays Night Elf in Warcraft and he hates the Undead but their style of play is the same as the Protos in Starcraft. what would be the difference in play between the Undead and Protoss ?
