It doesn't matter what "star" you are from...
whether it's Star Trek, Star Wars, or Star Gate.
You have to admit Nasa's International Space Station
is so unreal and surreal.
here's a photo from the space shuttle 'Endeavour'
during its mission to the orbiting outpost in July 2009.
Some religious extremists say it's the new "Tower of Babel."
This international effort from countries in all corners of the earth working together sending pieces of cutting edge technology out into space and connecting it together like some kind of Voltron for shuttles to dock and for researchers to gather data of life in space
by living on the station.
This has been an ongoing project since 1984 and by next year
it shall be complete!

Well Game, science fiction is what we base everything we make off of. If it wasn't for teleporters in scifi, we wouldn't want to build them in real life.

@Ken - this is so true, we have created most of what we can imagine through ideas from movies, books, and TV shows.
Other than teleporters and time travel we've been able to clone,
split the atom and all types of crazy $#!7!
this space station opens more doors to many things,
such as space travel!
it will take much less effort to travel from the space station
to the moon than it would from the earth.
but most of all it allows us to study human life in space
to understand the conditions so that we may venture even further.

Haha my friend don't get me started on physics I do my friend's homework for that class (he's a senior and I'm a freshmen)... I can bable on for hours about stuff.
(thats about the LHC and atom splitting to prove that matter = energy)

I believe that it's the most advanced
human effort of present time and expect
many scientific break throughs in research.
I am eager to hear everyone's feedback
on this... it's real and will be complete next year...
it may be the first space station but I am more than certain
it won't be to only one.
