click "1.85 Patch", "RTP" and "RTP 1.32 Addon".
If the Font looks messed up download the fonts from there and extract them into your fonts folder.
Important: I renamed all my music files to fit the scenes of the game, so viewing it will spoil the game. So don't check the music folder.

THE VEDRA TRILOGY
Decided I may as well upload my games.
This is about 3 different games, the first two are done, the last one is being worked on...
Vedra is the world's name, by the way.
Decided I may as well upload my games.

Vedra is the world's name, by the way.
- Vedra 1 RM2K:
~Vedra 1~
Story: Two friends, Zaru and Tai, become bored with being "Slime Busters" and want to explore the world. They also don't know who their real parents are or where they're really from, but the mayor tells them they are from somewhere named "Midora" and they may find out who their parents are there.
So Zaru and Tai explore the world in search of Midora while facing dangers and meeting new allies on the way-but not everything is as it seems.
A powerful villain named Zartos is sending his henchmen to cause chaos in Vedra. But he has no desire to destroy or take over Vedra. In fact, he does this without any joy at all [something one of his henchmen hates].
The reason Zartos is doing this is a mystery...
~Characters~
Heroes:
Zaru - A 20 year old spiky haired hero with a sword. So that's 3 cliche's - young, spiky hair and with a sword. Nice. Also, I use the "Alex" character for him on RPG Maker 2000. Does it get any less original than that?
He's very serious, and never upbeat and happy. The things that make him really different would probably be spoilers, though.
Tai - Zaru's friend. Always upbeat and happy and uses a Spear. Though, he's more cowardly than Zaru at the beginning.
Vince - Maybe my favorite character in the team. Seems most like a real person. He does what he does to get money, get famous, and get laid. He's the healer of the team, so no typical healer girl in this game. He uses a bow to fight.
There's more heroes, but I don't want to spoil it.
Villains:
Roy - A pig that works for Zartos. Not very strong, and it's a mystery why they even keep him around.
Hank - Strong, but very stupid minotaur henchman of Zartos.
Raya - Harpy lady that works for Zartos because she's in love with him.
Skar - Zartos' greatest henchman, though Skar hates him and secretly wants to overthrow him. Unlike Zartos he loves killing.
Zartos - The greatest villain in Vedra. He will destroy villages in such a bored way that it's like he's just taking out the trash.
There are more villains, but I won't spoil it.
DOWNLOAD - VEDRA 1 (3.79mb)
If you don't have RPG Maker 2000 you will need to download:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
click "1.85 Patch", "RTP" and "RTP 1.32 Addon".

- Vedra 2 RMXP:
~Vedra 2~
Don't read any further unless you've finished Vedra 1! It will completely spoil the game. I suppose you could just skip Vedra 1 if you wanted, though the story would make more sense if you played it.
Story: If you've played Vedra 1 you'll know that the world was destroyed, but everyone was teleported to a new planet that would be the new Vedra. The heroes mysteriously went missing soon after, but for 100 years, people on that new Vedra have been at peace... Though that will soon all change, as this new planet has a horrible secret.
A strange crystal falls from the sky near a small village. The village people check the crystal and a strange warrior is found frozen inside. The townspeople mistakenly think he's an angel that has come to defeat the demon, but he is simply a warrior with amnesia.[Yep, another cliche]
Who is this mysterious warrior? What happened to the old heroes? What is this new planet's horrible secret?
~Characters~
Heroes:
Zeo - Not his real name, but a name given to him by the villagers. A confused warrior in heavy armor trying to find out who he is. Unlike his friends, he tends to keep his opinions to himself. He uses an Axe in battle.
Kero - A small demon who never knew his parents and seems to be the last of his kind. Zeo was sent to defeat him but certain things got in the way, and they became friends.
He's quick to anger and is only helping Zeo for the challenge. He uses a spear in battle.
Leon - A bounty hunter sent to capture Zeo, but something got in the way and he had to work together.
Both Kero and Leon have very different views on life, and get into arguments. They work past that in order to work together, though.
He's the healer of the group and uses guns in battle.
There's more heroes of course, but again I won't say who they are.
Villains:
Deno: A strange wizard who wants to become a famous villain, but isn't very good at it.
Thorne: Skar's sister. She wants to find two other villains to help her, and become the "Chaos Trinity".
She kills because it sexually pleases her.
Damien:: The prince from Vedra 1, furious at how he never became king because of Zaru, Tai, Vince and Gon. He has become a strange mutant, and wants to take this Vedra by force.
But how he got his powers remains a mystery...
Of course, more villains than that, but that's all I can say for now.
I used RPG Maker XP for this one, but this doesn't use any RTP battlers or music.
It's nearly 700 MB, so you should play through Vedra 1 before trying this out to see if it's worth playing.
It's like Vedra 1 but with a more interesting story, more interesting characters, better graphics and music, and more sidequests & minigames.
DOWNLOAD VEDRA2 (625mb)
Again, don't check the music folder unless you want to ruin the whole story.- Vedra 3 (in the works):
~Vedra 3~
The third and final game in the trilogy. It takes place another 100 years in the future, and it's now in a modern setting. In this game you'll be able to travel to other worlds.
It's not done yet, but it already is MUCH better than Vedra 2.
Story: Vedra has become a peaceful and boring earthlike planet, where heroes and adventures are only a memory. Zak, a paranormal investigator struggling to find anything interesting in the world meets a strange individual that grants him his wish and shows him a teleport to another planet. Little does Zak know, that there are worse things than boredom as he faces the horrors of the universe.
He is saved by a group and joins up with them to explore space and free Vedra's people from the Vedra government.
But there are worse concerns as a threat beyond anything Vedra has seen draws near.
~Characters~
Heroes:
Zak: A 30 year old paranormal investigator. He is almost broke and lives with two annoying roommates. But he gets his wish for adventure...
He uses his fists in battle.
Lia: Yep, a female heroine for a change. She is very excitable and makes rash decisions, but she is very loyal to her friends.
She is the healer of the team. Yeah, a female healer is cliche but she doesn't have the typical sweet and gentle healer personality. She's just as strong as the guys and loves smashing people with her hammer.
Muki: Lia's pet. It can't talk and is older than it looks, about 25. It's a slime creature so it doesn't fight with a weapon.
I'm gonna stick with my rule of only explaining some of the heroes. The last one may be my favorite character in the Vedra series.
Villains:
Toxic Derby - A mad serial killer who considers killing an art form.
Bruno - Toxic Derby's dimwitted but strong sidekick.
General Featherstone - A general for Vedra's army that was fired. He seeks revenge on the heroes as he feels it was their fault.
Dr. Cato - A scientist that has taken over Vedra, and has forced its citizens to have chips inside them, so those working for him can watch them and kill them at the push of a button if they do something against the rules.
He took the people of Vedra's freedom away to "punish them" as he believes they are stupid and stupid people don't deserve a life worth living.
Dr. Popo - Works with Dr. Cato. The only man Dr. Cato isn't rude to, as Dr. Cato respects Popo. Dr. Popo doesn't hate the people of Vedra and seems friendly, but creepy. It's a mystery why he does what he does.
Despairia - A mad goddess who despises men. She likes to dominate them and make them beg for death.
There's more villains than that but I'll leave it like that.
Screenshot:
Here's a screenshot of the menu system I'm using for Vedra 3 [It's made by moghunter]
all I changed was the background.
That there is the main character, Zak the paranormal investigator. Yes I'm aware that all my main characters have names that start with "Z". Also, don't worry - his defence isn't like that for long. He gets some armor, but even then before that the enemies don't really pose much of a threat.
If you're wondering why I only posted one screenshot, well I wanted to post screenshots for all of the games but it would only let me post one, so I went with this one.

@Qeo - wow did you think up all of this? Awesome.
The fact that you have something finished inspires me to 'finish' a few things of my own +
Ok so I've downloaded the RM2K RTP, and the Vedra 1 project.
It loads up but right after I select start,
it crashes saying "cannot open file bartender"
thinks that's a missing charset?

No problem
The only complaint I've gotten so far is the encounter rate - though I've played through the game multiple times and I don't think it's too bad, not nearly as frustrating as final fantasy 9 - to me anyway.
The sequels have a lower encounter rate.
And for all 3 of the games, you will never have to walk out of a dungeon yourself when it's finished - you are teleported out once it's done. I hate it when they force you to get out yourself in games.
Glad you're enjoying it

haha great story, adventure, sequence of events... (just found a furry friend then forgot to save :~s)
the encounter rate isn't too bad, at least you can run away or exp up if you're not trying to run through it.

well I got up to 'ruffy' took a teleport then lost him
and then I had to go...
I really must say you've made a good game here. I love the humor that Hank brings into the mix and how the story is beginning to unfold.
You know, I was thinking about the encounter rate, it's good, should there be a reason to back track later in the game, maybe an item that will lower the encounter rate later in game?

Oh yeah, that part in the temple where you have to lead Ruffy to the switch to open the door - if you got out of there then come back, he'll just be in the same place he was when you first found him.
Hopefully you saved at some point?? If so, where?

If you had to go back to any dungeons for some reason I'd do that - but don't worry, the only places you may want to go back to [for sidequests] are towns.
