Recently watched Pacific Rim. I personally thought it was a really well done movie. Sure the story lacked a bit and there was some 'great logic' moments, but the visuals and the execution of the film was spot on. I'm hoping that it'll bring a bit of revival back to the mecha genre and the giant monster genres. What was really annoying though was that all the Jaeger guys decided it was some brilliant idea to fight the Kaiju in the water. While the director or something said that the Kaiju are "as dangerous on land as in water", there was some serious disadvantages to the Jaegers. For one thing, there's less visibility. So many times the god damn pilots would scream in horror when the Kaiju jumped out of the water like a entitled kid jumps at a stack of money. Also, the Kaiju clearly have more mobility in the water compared to the Jaegers. While the climatic scene in Hong Kong waters was reasoned as "to save the destruction of the city", it would make a lot more sense to kill the Kaiju to save all humans as opposed to the tax money of China. An additional note; use swords more often. So many Kaiju one shotted by swords. I don't care that their blood is juicy acid. Just kill it faster! The plasma cannon clearly isn't working. Just stab it!
Good movie. "GOTY" ~ IGN every year about that fish shooting game

earlier this month when I was sick I went through a plethora of movies 
a few that I watched and really enjoyed were:
Very Bad Things ~ it's a dark comedy with a strange ending, I think dead hooker movies should have their own genre :~P
Law Abiding Citizen ~ this is Justice! (instead of sparta) yeah the law system is all messed up so sometimes you gotta 'bend' the rules.
Our Idiot Brother ~ some say idiot, I say idiot with a good heart +
Pain and Gain ~ another dark comedy, it's based on a true story that is being mocked, if you can catch the humor you'll be entertained.

It was honorably slow with good action. the story is one of deep Japanese culture, Bushido, samurai.
I guess I like a lot of action, computer graphics, tons of hot babes, and enough story to makes sense

Apparently 47 Ronin was a massive flop in Japan.... After reading the original story, I can kinda see why. The film takes a folk legend and then totally makes something different out of it while claiming to be still 47 Ronin. Aside from that, I'm eager to watch it.
Watcheeddddddd uhhh fdfsdsddffdfisoj ijfijjjffjfj iojsdfoijsdfoijsfoijsdfoijsoidfjsodifjf uuhhhhhh Iron Man 3. It was pretty disappointing annndd I don't really have anything else to say about it. I did watch the entirety of the Band of Brothers which was a real pleasure to watch and I would recommend it to anyone with 11 hours to spare.

Starting to watch Grey's Anatomy. On Season 3 currently. The pilot episode draws you in so much, but the other episodes are kinda meh. A lot of episodes in Season 2 (23?) and are 45 minutes long (no commercials on Netflix). It seems like a lot of filler episodes in Season 2 and the middle of Season 1.
Also tried to watch American Hustle. The beginning was slow and boring and I kinda fell asleep to it and never finished or started it again.

Yeah American Hustle was like that for me as well.
PACIFIC RIM SPOILERS!
I finally saw Pacific Rim, so my thoughts:
They should have done it in a totally different universe, for me it was set in a too close to 'real' Earth setting. I just couldn't overlook the plot holes like how the escape pods were not crushed by pressure owe and the massive underground caverns. And the pregnant evil monster thing, after all if they were to be made from scratch or 'clones' as they mentioned then there would be no need for reproductive functions.
The Macho American Soldier thing got old fast.
And why would they talk in the mechs if they are brain linked?
What I liked:
The combat was fun to watch! Like seriously...
The two main protagonists were of opposite gender and didn't have intimate relationships.
So yeah
