The Host is a Korean monster film about a family that is determined to rescue their daughter/niece/granddaughter (depending on relation) who is taken by a monster. It's a bit hard to explain the storyline well.
This is a bit like a Godzilla monster movie where the monster is in full view and smashes crap and is a full on boss, not some cheap hauntedmansion-don'tevengettoseethemonster movie. It was rather enjoyable. It has some anti-American themes in it though, so if you're really patriotic, maybe this film isn't for you (it's nothing serious anyway, from an outsider's view).
What's best is you don't even need to pirate this thing. It's open on Youtube!

*sometimes a foreign film, foreign meaning - not from your part of the woods... is good to watch, it exposes you to different style, culture, comedy, or in this case drama!

The "anti-american" themes are about American military presence in South Korea after a few incidents between servicemen and locals.
Yeah the final battle is kinda epic. Did you get to watch the movie?
