For Mortal Kombat X the only character you don't have to pay for that you can unlock if you complete story mode is Shinnok, everything else you unlock are brutalities, fatalities, skins, gallery art etc... through the krypt with koins. Would be nice to have a few freebies from the cast.

Well at least there's some unlockables. I don't like the whole DLC thing though - imagine if in Zelda: Majora's Mask you just bought the fierce deity mask instead of earning it. Would cheapen the feel of the game.

^ so true, in MKX there are living towers that you can play sometimes as characters that are for purchase so that you can try before you buy. Also at random you will verse characters in alternative skins to see in action before you buy. Netherealm has also offered free skins and classic fatalities every other update/patch. The first Kombat pack was only $30 usd which offered Jason, Predator, Tanya, Tremor and over 13 alternative skins ... btw Tremor wasn't even planned but came to life through demand, just like this Kombat Pack 2, gameplay video should be out today

Goro was free with pre-order or $5 usd, The Tron-like Raiden skin was free by signing into WBPLAY and the Johnny Cage Mime and the Farmer Jax skins were free if you downloaded and played the MKX app game

MKX wasn't all about $ they gave some love and basically asked for more $ to bring more content to life for the true fans.

some games like Starwars Battlefront had no campaign and a season pass that cost $50!

loving the new characters however I'm one of those who spent money on the other skin packs that are now included in this kombat pack 2. Goro was a pre-order bonus and for those that didn't pre-order and do have Goro had to spend $5 to have him. The scorpion cold war skin was included in the collectors edition which I had preordered to have with goro and the original kombat pack. The four new characters and the apocalypse skin pack (new skins for takeda, d'vorah, erron black) are new incentives the rest are included add ons that have been around and may have already been purchased :/

They should have a cheaper pack that only includes the new stuff.

I was wondering why the alien has blade arms but then I remembered that the aliens take some characteristics from the host, and since it came out of Baraka it's like a baraka xenomorph. Hmm, I'd like to see a goro one.
