welp, the cards arrived and there were issues with the bios >,<
installing the new hardware led to a beep with a message to remove the unapproved hardware. I guess Lenovo secured the phoenix bios with a "whitelist" which only approves certain cards ~ for marketing purposes? wtfudge.
I started looking into hacking the bios to install the hardware and found to be a tedious and risky task,
(didn't want to brink the book)
then found this awesome thread that had a link to flash the bios without the whitelist. http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-S-series-Netbooks/S10-3t-Tweaking-Blog/td-p/682965
Flashed the bios, removed the original wifi card then replaced with the HD decoder, then in the spare slot added in the new wifi bluetooth combo card and used the spare antennas, capped the old ones and tucked them away on the HD decoder side.
Now Taboo has got bluetooth!
edit: I finally finished configuring the HD decoder to play some HD vids smoothly through windows media player!
Now I'm tinkering with www.XBMC.org , since vlc player doesn't appear to work with the Crystal HD decoder at the moment.
oh and last but not least, the wifi is not stable, it appears to be no official driver for the card that I have, I've found a few that work through using a virtual mini port, but there's no wifi when booting android T,T
this is the final fix...

grrr.... I don't know how many times I've googled, binged, babyloned, yahooed
"Realtek RTL8723"
to find the best driver to fix this issue.
I even did another fresh install of the OS's juuuust in case flashing the bios caused the wifi card to be disabled when booting up...
I know I'm getting closer to fixing this non-supported non-warrantied issue eliminating the fact that it's not the driver nor the card. The card works, it just boots up disabled in windows7 and then I have to manually enable it for it to work, in android it doesn't work because it boots up disabled and I'm unable to switch it on through the settings.
I fear it may require an edit to the bios or an update on the build for it to work on android-x86
Hopefully there's an easier way to get this to work
this is one project I have to see through until the end.

I guess it's time now to recover / modify / edit the phoenix bios... after thorough testing and tinkering with drivers and settings... I believe the wireless (enable/disable) option in the bios is the reason why the wireless isn't getting enabled at startup.
The original wifi card was in the 1st mini pci e slot = PCI 7
(which is where the HD decoder is now installed)
The new wifi/bluetooth combo card is installed in the 2nd pci e usb slot = PCI 9
now if there was some way to switch that address in the bios, it should do the trick! but there's only an option to enable/disable.
So I'm looking into editing the bios.
There's so much at risk when editing the bios...
(turning your book into a brick)
but there's so much reward once you know how to do it with the proper tools.
you can customize your own options, words, graphics, etc...
impress your friends with your very own splash screen :~P
well here goes nothing... hope I can get this to work soon.

ok, in case I do 'brick' Taboo, I learned about recovering the bios.
tested it and it works, so now I'm not as worried about flashing the bios with the new build that I'm about to make...
Bios Recovery steps for Lenovo S10-3T: (before bios update)
Make the crisis disk:
1.) need a usb drive at least 1gb FAT format > plug it in
2.) download CRISDISK http://www.mediafire.com/?ywzzkjjmjjz
-install > right click run as administrator
-click start > wait until complete > remove usb drive
done.
say you think you know what you are doing... create a bad build for your bios and you just turned your 'netvertable' into a BRICK!!?!
oh noo.....
Use the crisis disk to recover bios:
Make certain your Lenovo S10-3T is:
a.)completely off
b.)battery connected
c.)power plugged in
1.)grab that usb drive > plug it in (doesn't matter which usb port)
2.)Hold Windows key and B key (at the same time)
continue to hold those keys while you press and release the power button.
3.)Once you see the usb drive light up > release Windows key and B key
give it some time and then... tah~dah! Your bios has been recovered.
Ok time to make my own bios build so that the wi/fi works on start for both win7 and android-x86

my have I learned so much in the past few days tweakin' Taboo.
In editing the phoenix bios, I learned to use the phoenix bios editor.
Not only did I make a new bios version with custom words and splash screen graphics, fine tuning the .rom files with the hex editor removing the old ven dev ids of the old hardware and adding the new hardware ven dev ids...
I was able to successfully flash the bios and boot with relief.
still having trouble with the RTL8723AE mini pcie wifi/bluetooth card from Realtek, this Realtek card is a real pain as it wants to remain disabled at start up in windows 7 and android-x86 and there's no official drivers and support for the device. Looks as if I may have to buy another card through amazon.
I am happy with the HD decoder, it actually works in either slot.
so I put it back in the full sized slot using the it's original spacer which also acts as a heatsink. I get a kick being able to play 1080p 4gb + movies with no lag on this little champ.
plus the flash performance will make any ipad cry.
HD youtube, flash web games, so very nice +
also makes a big difference in android mode.
welp, after all the bios hacking to use custom hardware, I'm lead to believe that this Realtek card is a real dud (unless I've overlooked something which I seriously doubt)
I'll be looking into another half pcie mini wifi/bt card.
and hopefully it will work so I can be done with the hardware and start trickin out the software, so many free apps on the win8 store and android play store ++++

I've taken plenty and will share them once I'm done tricking out Taboo.
I just sent an email to the company that I ordered the half mini pcie wifi bt combo card. It turns out the sent me the wrong card! As soon as I realized it, I typed up a very professional email requesting that they send the correct one priority mail with a prepaid shipping label to send the wrong one back.
A few hours later I got a response, the new one is on the way
I gotta have internal bluetooth so I can connect with my android phone and to use my BlueAnt speakers (N15417) without the extra dongle taking up one of my two precious usb slots.
waiting on the new card...

oh yeah, so the new card arrives, I pop it in and it's a dud... at least the wrong card functions after some tinkering so I plan on keeping it :~/
turns out the Realtek RTL8723AE BT combo half mini pcie card has the known issues of no official driver and disabled at start up, so I guess I can wait it out for a new driver or get another card ~ sigh.
well in the meantime I'll be making a touch tablet tron theme until the wifi/bluetooth issue has been resolved for a proper video demonstration.
