Defenitly speed, the code will run much faster, not everything needs to be in a .dll but things like path finding or bitmap should be. Smile

I believe that speed is very important in games. I'm currently playing Innocent Life for the psp and it is horribly slow. There are so many confirmations. Anyways I should figure out how to do the dll thing. I want to find a way to port my games to wii homebrew. I think that requires me to somehow convert the game in to C somehow.

Your already ahead in that aspect, though i heard that C# is just a wrapper like C++ is for C. Rubgy and Java are very much the same in that they are simply class wraps for C. Then all that gets passed down and down till it reaches 1 and 0's.

It wouldn't be good for a music game then huh? I don't know. Rpg maker and a music system. I can kind of see it but the resolution. Is there any way of increasing it far beyond its limitations. I know someone said that you couldn't because of the rpg stuff but what if you were just making a different type of game?

Well, my idea with making the .dll files was to re-wrap RMXP with the most uptodate Ruby classes. We could even make our own Graphics module and yes, we could change the res to what ever we want then.

RMXP also has FMOD which had a wrapper writen for it. It handles music so much better. If someone can re-write the Audio module or an Input module, I think we can figure out the graphics one.
