Was poking around the internet (I confess to looking up "Daft Punk helmet") when I found this particular blog. It's run by a guy that spends his spare time recreating props from things like movies and video games. You should check it out here
The one I like is this one where he recreates a Daft Punk helmet (forgot the guys name or which era) complete with lighting and rainbow flashyness! Took him 17 months but imagine how cool you'd feel with it afterwards.
