Just wanted to start up a topic and list a few things about anatomy, perspective and so on. Things that really didn't seem that important, but now I use them everyday.
Dividing Squares
Most peeps may already know this technique, but I'm going to list it anyways.
Step 1: Draw diagonal lines from corner to corner to find center.
Step 2: Mark your horizontal and vertical lines.
Step 3 & 4: Continue to do this until you get what your looking for.
Why on earth would I ever need to know how to do this?? Well from the example of the book shelf on the right once you have a good grasp on perspective this will come in extremely handy. Also, for any one that wants to further their knowledge in illustration or whatever I would STRONGLY STRONGLY suggest going out and getting *Norling - Perspective Made Easy* and stop everything else your doing(anatomy, color, inking, etc.) and just teach yourself the laws of perspective. It may be boring but get it in early.
