I have to say that his point is very valid. I have to confess i jumped on the kony 'thing' as soon as i saw it, however several days later i did some reaserch and the invisible children thing seemed a bit shaddy...

I agree on somethings he said about the editing and melodramatic music. Even with the guy showing his kid to get leverage. But Kony is not a phoney. He's been around for years and lots of articles have made reports of it. 2006 Articles -> http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2006/01/hitchens200601?new and many more. But none of them have made a goal to stop this guy. These people "invisible children" are going out with banners and shot to stop this. So the methods they used to attract attention to KONY were very shady and manipulative. Persuasive some people may say. But Kony is out there.

I was never denying that Kony was out there. But it just seemed strange that all of a sudden, there is a massive push to get this guy locked up. No news on it, no big reports on it (by public response) and all of a sudden there is a viral almost "marketing" campaign to get Kony.

If you think about it (or maybe if you're a genius, you don't really need to think at all) the media is the voice of the people to the government, but then at the same time the media is controlling what the people want (to a degree). Would it be like a circle..?
