I know I never got to finish GIAW #1, but I was just browsing a thread of 4chan's /vg/ and they had an RPG Maker thread full of resources and stuff and it really inspired me (for at least tonight as I type this) to try and do some more active stuff with the community.

Now, I'm not asking for an entire game this time, but something quite smaller. A World Map.

Using the original tilesets with RPGXP and setting the map to the maximum of 500x500 or less, it can keep us up with how we can imagine an entire world. You only need to design the map, not the inside of the cities and stuff.
