Hey!
I recently found my dads very first 'business' laptop, which is a six year old asus with a modded wifi receiver (its removable and I don't think it came with the machine)
So once I got my hands on this prized real estate (and rubbing off all the old sticker glue) I decided to make it my internet browsing/basic task doing machine.
I found a version of linux that I liked (since I figured that linux would run smoother on a old system than win. xp)
Except there is a problem, after creating a boot drive and telling the bios to boot from it, the bios doesn't find the usb boot drive (and therefore doesnt boot(or install joli OS)
Any help would be AWESOME! Im really stuck with this one.
Here is the link to the OS if that helps.

this is just off the top ~
double check the bios options for boot and set usb as the first on the list
^if this is possible that should do the trick + then for your usb device, try using another computer to set up a bootable usb drive using linux live / grub loader.
(old computers can still do more than calculate +)
edit: check this out

I have done this, it doesn't recognize the boot drive even if I have only 'boot from usbfdd' enabled. :/
I think because its an old bios i don't have the option to prioritize only enable/disable.
