Thinking of you, Starcraft related maybe? Some fictional writing of some guy who goes poor and then finds SC2 and goes pro and wins a tournament and how he has to deal with the pressure and the other stuff that pro players have to deal with.

In a more organized way:

Introduction:Talk about his childhood and maybe he had parents who passed away, or lives in a third-world country and he has daily struggles.

Rising action: He finds SC2 and he learns from various things

Climax: Would be where he wins the tournament and feels extremely happy for himself

Falling action: He has to deal with constant pressure and the (crappy (see Reddit )) communities on how they like to pitchfork things that just make him feel bad.

Conclusion: Could be that he overcomes it with say, joining a team; a dinner with pro players and he hears how they overcome it; motivation from his home country; etc;.

That sounds really sports movie-esque. I noticed that many people my age tend to write stories like that about baseball and stuff. I've never actually tried that and it's not really my style, but I'll try incorporate some of this into my ideas that I already have. Cheers.

Really? Are the smart people in Australia not as simple-minded as I thought? Haha I know here that those stories would rarely exist because all the people who did sports were either bad at writing stories like that or just weren't in advanced classes. And even then, all the advanced students who did do sports had terrible stories.

Oh, I meant more like the type of story or the inspiration for their 9th grade assessment pieces. I remember hearing many rugby stories (I guess like gridiron for you Muricans) that were poorly graded and written like a long facebook status. I think I'll start tonight after watching Abraham guy: vampire slayer (eww....rooting vampires...)
