Games like Doom, Heretic, Blood, Duke Nuke'Em, Rise of the Triad, Strife, Dark Forces, Shadow Warrior, and so many other games gave my generation of gamers a taste of 3D (2.5) BEFORE 3D gaming ever came out or had the hardware fast enough to run it decent. Now with all that powerful hardware, it's nice to see the younger generation of gamers digging that raycast retro style.

So has any of you makers heard of RGM? ~> Raycasting Game Maker It's limited as for the customization end but fully featured and easy enough to use.

Unfortunately that amazing project came to a stop earlier last year, but the community of makers still lives on. +
