Hearthstone is really easy to understand even for the beginner player. It takes about 5-10 real games to actually know what you're doing and then it all becomes easy at that point. Watching some streamers help. I might be able to do a Gameplay of it if I find the time of moving/painting. I heard that Open Beta should be in January, so many people will be playing at that point.

Ah so true swoop. HS is just way to simple, there's a lot to master but it seems that there is really only one true way to build each deck, unlike a MTG where the possibilities are endless (nearly)

I say it's the lack of cards currently. The amount of "normal" minions you get makes it too simple I guess.

So I have been playing a lot of Hearthstone and here are my thoughts:
The game is stripped down to the basics of understanding a strategy then building a deck that uses it. There are no land cards, no instants, no complex card texts that you need a guide book to fully understand (Im looking at you Magic). This simplicity is nice but it does mean because of the lack of cards, that there are really only one or two viable ways to build a deck. And in turn since you cant just buy cards from a catalog there is a grind to get five card boosters and the melt down the rares to get the cards you actually want.
Other than that I think the game has great potential, we could even do Gameface101 tournaments since the game is freeeeeeeee.

I agree with you there. I think the amount of games that need to be won (minus quests) is too high. Win 3 games for 10 gold, where a pack of 5 cards is 100 gold. In normal games every deck I meet has a rare (Ragnaros/Sylvanas) and I still don't after spending $30 on packs and probably getting 10 packs from gold.
In higher levels of ranked, it's down to the meta and that's the big rush of low mana cards (One Warrior deck I have is pure aggro and have won many games with because the highest mana I have is 5-6 and it's only two cards).
It does have a lot of potential, but it's not entirely there where only one meta exists for a certain class (maybe Murloc rushing, which I have seen a few times).
The Open beta was supposed to be out in December/this month but they pushed it back more. I think I heard something about the open beta coming out in May?
