1 = i like its literal transition of cold to warm! its very seasonal.
2 = Adventure! leads you into a beginning of a journey!
I like the second one because it rests a little longer than the first with the reader, as i mentioned above it makes you wonder what could lie beyond.
each emotion would be a chilling change on the horizon. the unknown is near.

thanks for the feedback~ I'm focusing on a reader centred literary approach so I won't really be questioning response, I'll be taking them as they come.
I was concerned about the 5-7-5 form until I read an in-depth article about why contemporary haiku don't necessarily comply with this format. There are other more important elements which create a haiku.
