I thought this is how of Mice and men should of ended (NOT FOR A SCHOOL PROJECT)

It was dusk and the sun was setting over the horizon. To Lennie this would be the last sunset but also be first. The first he saw things for how they were. Maybe the sun was too bright so Lennie couldn't see the truth. Maybe it made him close his eyes or made him blind. But in the end he saw everything for how it is... but it was too late for him.

Lennie fell asleep. He dreamed of him being George yelling at himself. Lennie felt guilt and like a burden. He hates himself for being the way he is. He can't stand it...

Lennie awoke and as he ran through the forest, back to the place George told him to he was fearful of the future. He realized he killed Curly's wife. He realized he killed the dog, he realized he killed all those mice. Lennie cat and cried until George came.

George said "Lennie what you crien' about?"

"Nothing George..." said Lennie.

"Don't lie to me!"

"Nothing George honest!"

"Ah to hell with it..." George trailed off.

"George, I done a bad thing, George" admitted Lennie.

"I know Lennie... it's ok. Well its not kay for you to go around hurting people..."

"George it was an accident honest!" Explained Lennie.

"I know... I know. When I first met ya Lennie I thought you were a slowheaded crazy bastard. But ya know, Lennie you're a nice fella. You really are but you can't hurt people Lennie... you just can't..."
Said George teary eyed. "Lennie... the wind is calming down take off your hat and relax."

"Sure George all calm... I am calm. I am not rough and violent. I am calm George see!!" SCREAMED Lennie. "I AM CALM I AM CALM GEORGE!!!" Suddenly the wind kicked up and George threw a rock and his hat into the river.

"Lennie just look at the water... take a sip its nice and cold." said George. Lennie took a sip from the river. When he stood up he saw George's gun. He knew what was going to happen.

"George"

"Yes"

"Thanks"

"For?"

"Keeping me around"

"It ain't nothing. You made this hell of a life fun."

"But I made things worse... I hurt people and I did bad things"

"Everyone makes mistakes"

"But didn't you say mistakes have bad things happening after"

"Yes..." George then shot Lennie in the head. George felt nothing but sorrow inside him nothing but remorse and guilt for that poor, poor bastard.

As Curly approached he said "Slim and Carlson went another way and are lost... HEY IS THAT LENNIE?"

"Yeah..."

"Aww shucks I wanted to blow that bastard's guts everywhere!!"

"Well he's gone now..."

"Yeah now help me find Carlson and Slim before they get even more lost."

"Ok..." mumbled George. Curly went running back into the forest. "Good night sweet prince..." said George as he closed Lennie's eyes.
