Magic the Gathering (the card game)
'magically appeared' around the early 1990s.
I started throwing cards around when the Scourge set came out for the Onslaught block.
There's a few of us here who play
(online as well ^,^)
so to keep the magic alive and inspiring to play ~ I thought I would open a can of worms by starting this topic thread
I'm just a "casual" player, I started off making 80card decks all red magic/direct damage ha! and thought I knew what I was doing saying "It's all fate." From black/red to green/blue, red/white and all artifacts, learning all the color characteristics and phases/turns I ended up making quite a few decks! 22 solid with no proxies.
#3 of 22 LAND HO: (type fun)
*destroy/curse/steal your opponents land and call them a HO
#5 of 22 SEAWEED: (type fun)
* make infinite 7/7 flying with trample elementals
#11 of 22 WALL NUT: (type fun)
* win using nothing but WALLS for creatures... how humiliating to lose by walls haha
#14 of 22 FIRST 2 BURST: (type 2)
*full of first strike and direct damage with life steal
#20 of 22 TAKE THAT: (type fun)
*control anything that is an artifact by changing everything into an artifact

If im ever going to play this I think I'll need to order the stuff online, which probably wont happen for a long time. Magic the Gathering sounds really interesting though. I might check out the online thing.

somehow i doubt magic will top eating noodles in the most addicting part. if you dont understand the depth of this addiction, then read on. most people will not survive 3 days without water and two weeks without food, two nescessities of basic survival. I have three. food, water and noodles. food and water is substandard to noodles as I can live indefinitely with noodles. noodles comes with water so im k. I cannot live for 6 hours without noodles. If i go for more than six hours, i will start to weaken. By the 47th hour I will be so weak that someone else has to cook noodles for me. If no one does, I pass out because I only sleep on a day that I eat noodles. Therefore I suffer from "noodlesomnia".

This deck was all about late game control,
taking whatever you have as a threat and making it mine.

I played some with Zane over the summer (Ken's friend who also had an account here) and he taught me all about Magic. The only trouble I have with it is the attack/defend battling thing. They have the online stuff that costs money ($10 an account I believe for the one that everyone uses) and they have a game on Steam that I believe is $10-15. It seems fun, a great alternative to Yu-Gi-Oh if you're getting out of it like I did because everything is getting too complex (Synchro's, XYZ summons).

Onesimus got me into Magic. Got my first deck today and spent 3 hours at the comic book shop shredding Onesimus.

^ right on! don't you just love customizing your own deck and watch it destroy someone else's attempt to build one.
Well rounded always wins late game, unless a focused deck is too quick to win early game.
care to share your recipes? ^^
