Blue if your interested in blender go for it, been learning it for like 3 days and the program is amazing. Working on making some rmxp sprites into 3d models. Extremely difficult at first, because of the so many options but in my opinion Blender is godly.

Yah I thought you posted something about learning blender and I posted that I use sketchup for my 3d modeling.

The program is HUGE, but what i've gathered so far you can model and animate inside the program plus render and so much more.(If that's what you were asking.

Still learning the ins and outs of modeling in blender, but if you watch some blender foundation created movies on youtube you can see what the animation side of blender is capable of . Another cool free application is Sculptris. Its like Zbrush.(Computer simulated clay modeling.) Worth playing with. Sculptris models can be imported into blender for further modeling.

Ahaha, I remember trying to learn this program for a job/internship I applied for a while ago, yeah the program is super powerful, so many possibilities. I made a 3D mug with lights/ shadows and everything. This thing is awesome.
