I wrote this in Jr. high about an ex-girlfriend who ended up becoming one of the most popular girls in school.
My mind is still racing
as my pulse grows steel.
Why should I mourn for what you can't fill.
With your plastic Cover-girl smile,
and your fake beauty pageant wave.
To the ones who matter least you are a mere slave.
So I'll go now into the dark
to nurse my fragile broken heart.
Memories inside tattooed of you
as I shed a tear for the wonderful person I once knew.
