@wiggles - yes you're scripting powers have become stronger
(no joke)
I have an idea!
what if the light graphic was replaced with a particle formula?
~ it's just my imagination running away with me...

@lil_wolf - hey I that's my idea! j/kI'm trying to create a little forest where you have to avoid goblins and get to the end...

i was just thinking about making edits to the Spriteset_Map script and then placing a graphic using a formula that is created by the events screen_x and y position.

gotcha, my idea was to use this particle script and tweak the "fire_lance" effect to be more of a shining light.
I guess I'm thinking too visual instead of functional.
it was just a thought ^,^

i dont mean to be rude @little wolf , but i get the impression that you still think that the [light] matters.
if you want, you can just make guard/monster/goblin thats not using light at all, but it will be hard to predict their distance of view (for the player) .
hey i just got an idea (dunno where its from)
the script worked using distance as the switch,and when we hide behind something it still trigger it, but if we use :
common event (touch) behind the wall and then use script command to diactivate the [Avoid Guards] script , will it worked?

@supercow:
Not rude at all...I understood a bit after and thought about that same thing. How would players know the distance? I suppose I'll have to make the forest deep and dark and give the goblins lanterns, that will look good
I just tested the new demo and script. Its even awesomer-y.
I do have one question though. How do I get the message about the Light Character to stop appearing? I've imported the character graphic four times in the character folder as it says....
