Im amased, all I can do with paint it's Lines and lines haha, you can even make a sprite! Your good, you should start practicing with PS to improve your skills or another program, can't remember the name, but it's more user friendly than PS and it's a very good program, my sister uses it a lot and she is a pro too. Tomorrow I'll ask her and edit the post 
keep the good work, I really liked the arwell's sprite

yeah! GIMP was the name, she uses it a lot, and it's more complex and has LOTS of more features than paint. You should give it a shot first, and then go to photoshop. Can't wait to see more of your work!

For me ...I use paint for make rmxp sprites, it's easier than the Gimp... in fact, I use paint for the sprite and the gimp for the trensparence
