Final Fantasy - A Realm Reborn is a MMORPG. You can play it on Playstation or PC. It looks like World of Warcraft, but it isn't the same thing. A friend playing with me told me that WoW is much harder, but FFAAR is still really fun to play. I can't really tell since I never tried WoW or Diablo yet. I'm planning on testing them maybe when my exams are over. I have quite a few games to test.
Faithful to Final Fantasy, this version as a MMORPG is a great success. The game is still new, so the highest level on a class you can get is 50. You can still get equipments that can reach I think up to an item lvl 120, to add durability to the game, and get stronger. Nice thing on this MMO is that on a single character, you can get all classes. You must simply switch weapons to switch from white mage to archer.
The game universe is really huge and as a player I've had a lot of fun exploring it. I never tried the PvP, because in most MMO, I'm not really interrested. I play a white mage lvl 50 with a ilvl around 90. It took me about 2 months and half to reach it, not playing that much tought. It cost 13$/months to play, so I don't play that often. I take a break a few months then play again. They force you to learn to play other classes to make your favorite better. There is a system called cross-class, wich I think is unique to FFAAR. It allow you to use spells from other classes if they are in synergy with yours. You can also change your item stats by melting in it a materia.
The dungeons are a bit simple, but it's still nice to play them and that doesn't make them easy. The lower levels are long to do like every other MMO you don't really get high thrill, higher levels are easy for WoW players I heard, but a mistake from anyone will give you a hard time.
Score: 8/10

I played this last summer and absolutely loved it. The Final Fantasy lore alone is worth the subscription cost ($13). I heard there was hardly any end-game content at the time, but I guess with the 2.0 patch it changed a lot (and added houses). Definitely worth a try in my list. Puts WoW in it's place.
